Bird House Family Fun

Victoria Day weekend was full of fun with family and time in the workshop making birdhouses. The forest around our cottage is full of birds--blue jays, chickadees, woodpeckers, goldfinches, robins, loons, ducks and Canada geese.  Some of the smaller birds might actually nest in this birdhouse.

On a rainy day this weekend our family cut the wood, glued the pieces, nailed them together and the birdhouses took shape. They were able to take them home for their own back yards.

Brian's love of woodturning started in his Grandfather's workshop and now one of our Granddaughters has had her first experience working with wood.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!  We have had a wonderful Christmas season with family and friends, with fun in the snow, ice fishing and skating on the lake.  2011 promises to be a year of creativity for Limberlost Woodturning as Brian continues to love his time in the workshop.
