Looking at our photos, I was struck by how many different species of trees we saw. We had an airboat trip in the Everglades through a mangrove swamp, trees which thrive in salt water. Contrast this to the magnificent banyan trees in Key West, the palms by the ocean, and the Spanish moss which covered the stately trees in Savanah. Magnolias in bloom on Friday and four inches of snow on our pines on Sunday. Isn't travel wonderful?
Our workshop is open to the public by appointment. Call 705-635-3190. The Artists of the Limberlost Tour is August 17-18 and the Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour is September 28-29 and October 5-6, 2013. We would love to see you! A hand-turned bowl or platter would be the perfect wedding, birthday, retirement or Christmas gift. www.limberlostwoodturning.com
